Visitor policy

Poinciana Medical Center is taking proactive measures to help ensure the health and safety of patients, caregivers, colleagues and the community. We have limited entry ways and are conducting screenings and temperature checks for everyone that enters the facility. In addition to our enhanced safety precautions, we have now implemented additional visitor restrictions to further ensure the safety of those we care for. As of 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 1, 2020, visitors will not be permitted into the hospital.

Exceptions will be made for the following circumstances with one visitor per patient:

  • Pre and Post Surgery Patients
  • Pediatric Emergency Room Patients
  • Patients who utilize a legal guardian
  • Special circumstances will be considered for end-of-life patients

Further exceptions will be considered on a case by case basis.

We appreciate the cooperation of our visitors, patients, colleagues and providers to support our infection control efforts and help minimize the spread of respiratory infections and COVID-19.
