Poinciana, FL - Poinciana Medical Center, an HCA North Florida hospital, recently named Christopher Cosby as CEO. Cosby will assume his role with the 76-bed acute care hospital on May 15th.
Cosby brings more than 14 years of experience in healthcare to Poinciana. He previously served as Chief Operating Officer at HCA's Doctors Hospital of Augusta, Ga. Cosby holds a Master of Science in health administration and an MBA from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, as well as a Bachelor of Science in health administration from Auburn University.
"During his tenure with HCA, Chris has proven himself as a focused, dedicated leader, spearheading numerous growth initiatives and motivating staff to deliver on our mission of quality, compassionate healthcare," said Michael P. Joyce, FACHE, President of HCA's North Florida Division.
"I am tremendously proud to join the vibrant, diverse community of Poinciana and the dedicated team at Poinciana Medical Center," said Cosby. "I look forward to carrying on the hospital's legacy of expanding access to healthcare for patients in Poinciana and surrounding areas."
Cosby replaces Joanna Conley, who served as the hospital's founding CEO. Conley was recently named CEO of HCA's TriStar Southern Hills Medical Center in Nashville.
